Job summary

UF Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care following the nursing process and standards of practice. The RN may serve as charge nurse when assigned and remains accountable for all assigned patients, collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.

Required include Florida RN licensure and BLS/ACLS; PALS and NRP must be completed within six months of hire or transfer.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license to practice required
• BLS from American Heart Association
• ACLS from American Heart Association
• PALS and NRP required within 6 months of hire/transfer (existing employees by 12/31/2018)
• EDF P Fellows: less than 1 year experience
• CEN or TNCC preferred
• ED/ICU RN experience 1–2 years

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse
• Performs staff nurse activities and acts as charge nurse when assigned
• Maintains accountability for assigned patients and age-appropriate care
• Collaborates with healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
• Mentors and coordinates with Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and Sitters as needed
