Job summary

The position requires current Maryland RN licensure, BLS certification, and adherence to department-specific requirements; an ACLS/NRP/chemotherapy-immunotherapy certification may be required depending on unit assignment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN required within 5 years of date of hire.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
• BLS - American Heart Association Health Provider.
• Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification within 6 months of hire if experienced or within 1 year for new graduate nurses.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical nursing knowledge and skill; applies nursing process to care for culturally diverse patients and families.
• Organizes and reprioritizes patient care activities based on changes in condition or environment.
• Assess patients to collect data and identify learning needs; develop individualized plans of care.
• Implement and evaluate plans of care; revise based on patient responses.
• Participate in unit governance, education of new staff, and real-time documentation in the patient record.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

BSN within 5 years of date of hire
