Job summary

OhioHealth in Van Wert, Ohio, seeks a Full-time Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The role supports 24/7/365 patient care with an 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM schedule and 36 hours per week.

The RN provides comprehensive nursing care, assesses patients, and collaborates with the care team under Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines. Minimum qualifications include an active OH RN license, BLS certification, and a BSN preferred after five years of employment.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current RN license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
• BLS certification
• BSN required at 5 years of employment

Responsibilities

• Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and/or individual (30%).
• Outcomes Identification/Planning - Documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Implementation/Evaluation - Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and adjustment of care plan.
• Leadership - Participates in process improvement activities to improve quality, satisfaction, and financial performance.
• Operations - Performs duties to support safe and efficient department operations.
