Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, Sierra Nevada Health Care System seeks an Emergency Department Physician to deliver comprehensive, efficient, and compassionate care in the ED and hospital setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and participate in resident education.

The role requires board-certified or board-eligible status in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine, with an MD/DO and an unrestricted US license.

Qualifications

• US citizenship as required by VA
• MD or DO degree from an approved school
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in any US state or territory
• Residency training approved by VA for board eligibility
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Physical requirements including lifting and mobility as described by VA

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality medical care in the Emergency Department and across the hospital
• Supervise and educate Internal Medicine Residents and medical students from University of Nevada, School of Medicine
• Participate in patient outcome indicators, quality assurance, and research activities as assigned
• Comply with bylaws, rules, regulations, and information security policies
• Provide supervision and collaboration with the health care team to ensure timely patient care
