Job summary

Liberty Regional Medical Center in Georgia is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department. You will perform direct nursing activities for patients across all ages, under supervision, and refer unusual issues to a nurse for escalation. The role requires NLN-accredited program completion or PCT/MA/phlebotomy training, plus BLS certification.

Reports to the ED Director. On-site position with standard hospital shifts in a fast-paced ED environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of NLN-accredited nursing program or equivalent required.
• First semester nursing clinical or verified on-the-job training required.
• BLS Provider certification required.
• First semester of nursing clinical and basic nursing process knowledge required.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing activities for patients in the Emergency Department.
• Refer unusual clinical problems to the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Ensure safe and efficient provision of services to infants, children, and adults.
• Report to the Director of the Emergency Department.
