Job summary

St Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick, NY is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the Emergency Department. The role involves patient transport, restocking supplies, cleaning and maintaining patient care areas under RN guidance and with licensed practitioners.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy experience, and prefers CNA or EMT Paramedic certification with BLS either already held or obtainable within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• CNA or EMT Paramedic preferred; BLS required or can be completed within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under supervision of ED RN and licensed practitioners.
• Assists with patient transport, re-stocking, cleaning and preparing patient care areas.
• Demonstrates knowledge of department equipment and supplies; follows infection control policies.
• Demonstrates competency in basic clinical duties such as vital signs, wound care and specimen delivery.
• Interacts professionally with interdisciplinary teams and prioritizes patient needs.
