Job summary

Westchester Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the Emergency Department under the supervision of Registered Nurses and licensed practitioners. The role involves patient transport, essential supply restocking, and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of care areas to ensure smooth patient flow.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy experience preferred, and BLS certification either in place or obtainable within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS through American Heart Association preferred or can be completed within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care under RN guidance and with Licensed Practitioners involved.
• Assist with patient transport, restocking, and cleaning of patient care areas.
• Demonstrate knowledge of department equipment and supply locations; operate monitors and basic devices as trained.
• Interact professionally with interdisciplinary teams and adhere to infection control policies.
