Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA is hiring a Patient Care Tech for the Emergency Department. You will assist nurses, monitor patient status, and support admissions and discharges in a fast-paced ED setting.

The role is full-time, days, with 36 weekly hours. A HS diploma or equivalent and one of several CNA/NCMA/NCPCT pathways is required, plus a BLS certification within 90 days of hire and about one year of healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and one of the approved education programs.
• AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• One year of health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes.
• Observe and report changes in patients' condition and adhere to safety practices.
