Job summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics in Northfield, MN seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department. You will partner with nursing staff to provide direct patient care and handle clerical tasks, delivering age-appropriate care from pediatric to geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Registered in good standing with Minnesota NAR.
• AHA BLS for HCP within 6 months of hire.
• CPI within six months of hire.
• Violence prevention education required.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain professionalism.
• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient centered care and clerical support per unit policies.
• Observe and report patient status changes to RN promptly.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Support feeding, mobility, positioning and comfort needs.
• Document care accurately and timely; maintain safety and cleanliness.
• Engage with patients, visitors and staff with empathy and teamwork.
