Job summary

Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO is seeking a Paramedic to support the Emergency Department. You will assist RNs and providers, prepare exam setups, stock supplies and participate in procedures.

The role requires 2–4 years of relevant experience or 12–18 months in formal training, with shift from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM and weekend rotations. Pay range and benefits are provided by Banner Health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Paramedic certification or license in the practice state and maintenance thereafter.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS if ED or pediatric.
• 12-18 months in an educational program or 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• FP-C or CCT-P certification preferred for ICU/Burn/CVCU.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates acuity level and matches patient care needs to resources.
• Performs basic patient care within scope of training (positioning, transport, phlebotomy, ECGs, spinal precautions).
• Administers or monitors medications as ordered and as allowed by state practice.
• Starts IV lines and maintains fluid administration per physician order.
• Performs cardiovascular monitoring and management.
• Performs airway management including oxygen, suction, ventilation support.
• Participates in resuscitation of critical patients and monitors progress.
• Documents assessments, progress and discharge plans in unit records.
• Interacts with staff, physicians, patients and families to coordinate care.
