Job summary

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Paramedic for our Emergency Department to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care under physician and RN supervision. You will assess patients, document care, administer prescribed medications, and collaborate with EMS to ensure smooth patient flow.

This role requires Florida licensure and active ACLS/BLS/PALS, with CPI training preferred for behavioral health scenarios; we offer competitive benefits and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Paramedic program.
• Current Florida Paramedic License.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS from American Heart Association.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training for Behavioral Health.
• One year experience as Paramedic in the field or hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, monitor patient data, and assist with patient care as delegated.
• Administer prescribed medications and document care in the patient record.
• Provide patient care under physician and RN supervision and established policies.
• Facilitate patient transfer to floors and assist with patient flow.
• Takes EMS reports and ensures safe handoffs.
