HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a dedicated Paramedic to join our Emergency Department team. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care within a defined scope of practice, under physician and RN supervision, and support safe patient flow.

Requirements include Florida Paramedic license, approved Paramedic program graduate, and AHA ACLS/BLS/PALS; prior field or ED experience preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Paramedic program.
• Current Florida Paramedic License.
• American Heart Association ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• CPI training for Behavioral Health.
• One year of Paramedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height/weight, intake and output, and perform simple non-sterile dressing changes as directed.
• Perform safe patient handling including turning, positioning, transfers, and assisting with movement.
• Provide patient care under physician and/or RN/Charge RN supervision and per policy.
• Facilitate patient transfer to floors and assist with patient flow.
• Accurately document the administration of care in the patient record in a timely manner.
• Identify and communicate any changes in patient condition or concerns to the supervising staff.
• Administer prescribed medications per hospital policies and guidelines.
• Take reports from EMS.
