Job summary

Coalinga Regional Medical Center seeks an experienced Emergency Department Manager to oversee daily ED operations, nursing staffing, and clinical competency. You will collaborate with physicians, DON, and hospital leadership to ensure safe and efficient emergency services, maintain regulatory readiness, and guide staff performance.

Ideal candidates have BSN and active CA RN license with ED leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSN required and active California RN license.
• Emergency Department nursing experience required.
• 3+ years of acute-care nursing experience preferred.
• Emergency nursing leadership/management experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily ED nursing operations, staffing, workflow, and patient throughput.
• Ensure readiness for regulatory surveys, audits, and accreditation reviews.
• Monitor ED quality and patient safety indicators and act on variances.
• Develop and maintain ED nursing orientation and competency validation.
• Coordinate with physicians and hospital leadership to ensure safe, efficient ED services.
• Maintain readiness for EMTALA and other regulatory requirements.
• Oversee staff performance, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
