Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Baltimore, MD seeks a Nursing Assistant under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care. The role requires active enrollment in an accredited nursing program and good academic standing.

Offer includes clinical rotations completed; licensure options include CNA registration with the Maryland State Board of Nursing or completion of the nursing education program per COMAR.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in good academic standing in an accredited school of nursing program.
• Two instructor references are preferred with the application.
• Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant OR Successful completion of the nursing education program courses as outlined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing in COMAR 10.39.01

• Healthcare Provider (CPR Certification) – not needed for Hospice student positions
• Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant. OR
• Successful completion of the nursing education program courses as outlined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing in COMAR 10.39.01

Experience

Completed at least one clinical rotation

Two instructor references are preferred with the application.

Skills

• Interpersonal skills required to comfort and care for patients and maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital personnel and staff.
• Analytical skill necessary to assist with maintaining patient records and transcribing physician orders

Pay Range

$16.57 - $23.67

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
