Job summary

GBMC HealthCare seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse at our Baltimore campus. You must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program in good standing and hold Maryland CNA certification or complete the required COMAR coursework.

The position emphasizes compassionate patient interactions, accurate record-keeping, and teamwork with hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in good standing in an accredited nursing program.
• Maryland CNA certification or COMAR 10.39.01 coursework completion.
• Completed at least one clinical rotation.
• Two instructor references preferred with the application.

Job description

Education:
Currently enrolled in good academic standing in an accredited school of nursing program.
Licensures/Certifications:

• Healthcare Provider (CPR Certification) - not needed for Hospice student positions
• Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant. OR
• Successful completion of the nursing education program courses as outlined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing in COMAR 10.39.01

Experience:
Completed at least one clinical rotation
Two instructor references are preferred with the application.

Skills:

• Interpersonal skills required to comfort and care for patients and maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital personnel and staff.
• Analytical skill necessary to assist with maintaining patient records and transcribing physician orders

Pay Range

$16.57 - $23.67

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
