Job summary

Iowa Methodist Medical Center, part of UnityPoint Health, invites applications for a Nurse Residency in the Emergency Department. This full-time night program supports newly licensed RNs or those with under 12 months of acute RN experience to develop advanced critical care skills.

You will train in a Level I Trauma Center environment with expert teams, mentoring, and a comprehensive onboarding, plus a $20,000 sign-on bonus paid over three years.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• Newly licensed nurse or less than 12 months acute RN experience.

Responsibilities

• All newly licensed RNs and RNs with less than 12 months acute RN experience at the time of application are required to participate in the RN Residency program.
• Responsibilities: Provide nursing care for patients and families and maintain a practice environment aligned with the ANA Code for Nurses and UnityPoint Health-Des Moines model.
