Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Services Corp. is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Emergency Department at The Westerly Hospital.

You will provide goaldirected nursing care through the nursing process and primary nursing principles, ensuring patient-centered, compassionate care. Responsibilities include continuous assessment in the ED, adherence to hospital policies, acting as a clinical resource, and participating in ongoing staff education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• ED experience preferred.
• Current state registration or eligibility; BLS/ACLS; PALS certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's physical and psychological condition in the ED; document and share significant data with the appropriate discipline.
• Adhere to Westerly Hospital policies and procedures.
• Act as a clinical resource and role model; participate in training/educational activities for staff.
