Job summary

Westerly Hospital is seeking an experienced ED nurse to provide goaldirected care through the nursing process and primary nursing principles in the Emergency Department. You will assess patients continuously, document findings, and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

You will adhere to hospital policies, act as a clinical resource, and participate in ongoing staff education. A strong commitment to patient-centered care and professionalism is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• ED experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's physical and psychological condition on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care in the ED.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• Act as a clinical resource and role model.
• Participate in training and education activities for staff members.
• Demonstrate respect, dignity, compassion and professionalism for all customers using patient-centered care principles.
• Recognize and value contributions of fellow employees; promote teamwork.
• Report to work on time and follow policies for attendance and time off requests.
• Identify and document core duties and competencies.

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Experience

ED experience required

Licensure

Current state registration or eligibility to do so. BLS, ACLS Required. PALS certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
