Nurse Manager / Emergency Department

7am-3:30pm / Full-Time / 40 hours

We're seeking a dedicated Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department at Emory Decatur Hospital. As the Nurse Manager, you'll lead a team of passionate RNs and support staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational excellence. Your responsibilities include:

• Oversee unit management to ensure optimal patient care
• Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures, and strategies
• Manage the department budget and resource allocation
• Supervise nursing staff, ensuring competence and compliance
• Implement quality and performance improvement initiatives
• Develop departmental goals and objectives
• Plan staffing, create schedules, hire staff, and resolve staffing issues
• Monitor and enhance nursing care environment
• Support staff development and participate in professional activities

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required
• Experience: At least 5 years of professional nursing practice in acute/ambulatory care, with 2 years of leadership experience
• Licensure: Valid Georgia RN license; if overseeing virtual care, active multi-state license (eNLC) within 60 days
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS may be required based on specialty
• Skills: Leadership, collaboration, diversity and inclusion promotion, experience managing complex healthcare operations
• Preferred: Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing; Nurse Executive Certification (NE-BC, NEA-BC) or similar
