Job summary

UNC Health Care in Kinston, NC seeks an experienced ED Nurse Manager to lead the Emergency Department team. You will coordinate staff, resources, and processes to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes, while modeling nursing practice and participating in unit and system committees.

The role requires a BSN with 3–5 years ED nursing experience and 1–3 years leadership, plus NC RN licensure; MS in Nursing or related field preferred. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MS preferred.
• 3–5 years Emergency Department nursing experience.
• 1–3 years leadership experience.
• RN licensure in NC; certification in field of expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage ED staff, material, and financial resources to achieve patient outcomes.
• Serve as a clinical role model using the nursing process to direct, provide and evaluate age-specific care.
• Participate in unit and organizational committees and provide clinical leadership and support.
• Serve as a working manager capable of performing RN duties in the Emergency Department.
