Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nursing Manager to direct daily departmental functions and plan for optimal emergent patient care. You will collaborate with the Nurse Manager to implement professional nursing practice and coordinate age-appropriate patient care activities with defined staff competencies.

The role requires leadership, clinical preceptor experience, and strong communication skills to manage staffing, policy adherence, and quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or management experience required.
• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience and at least one year in clinical preceptor/resource role.
• Demonstrates leadership experience and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily departmental function for optimal emergent patient care.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager to implement professional nursing practice.
• Coordinate patient flow and staffing across units to ensure efficient care.
