Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time role involves 3 to 12-hour shifts during the day, with a focus on delivering high-quality urgent care and patient-centered service.

The RN will provide direct patient care, participate in the care planning process, and engage in ongoing professional development. Education requirements include an RN license and nursing education credentials; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in nursing (RN)
• RN license required
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on managing illness or injury and post-treatment home care and medications.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Engages in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with goals with interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Communicates the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Assesses and evaluates physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs per standards of care.
• Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, considering values and cultural needs.
