Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as a nurse practitioner.
• Two years (within past three) experience as NP in emergency department or urgent care.
• Masters Degree in Nursing (unless grandfathered in).
• Completion of a Masters Program in Family Practice NP or Acute Care NP.
• California RN license and NP furnishing/certification.
• BLS, PALS, ACLS, NP certification, and a valid NPI.
• Credentialing requirements within Kaiser system for NPs.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with physical exams and history taking.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinicians for patient care.
• Communicate with health care providers and departments for continuity of care.
• Review records and order diagnostic studies per protocol.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and risk management.
• Participate in staff development and performance improvement activities.
