Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing preferred; graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Current RN license in Colorado (or compact state) and BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC certifications required.
  • Leadership experience within the last 2 years in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of Patient Care Services to support and provide oversight of daily ED operations.
  • Remain clinically oriented to work in the Emergency Department as a team member to provide assistance and coverage when needed.
  • Communicate and collaborate with nursing leadership, medical staff, support staff, case management, social work, and other departments to plan, direct, evaluate, and review care for patients and their families.
  • Provide problem solving, decision making, and communication skills when interacting with various disciplines.
  • The ED Nursing Manager is responsible for hiring, performance evaluations, and addressing staff performance issues.
  • Implement quality control and improvement, assess satisfaction of patients, families, staff, and providers, review policies, develop development plans, schedule staff, and lead staff meetings.
  • Work to understand and implement State Regulatory principles to ensure standards of excellence.

Requirements:

To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing preferred, graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Experience: Leadeship experience within the last 2 years with training and experience in the Emergency Department.
  • Licenses/Certification: Current, valid RN license in the State of Colorado (or compact state) and BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC certifications required.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Director of Patient Care Services to support and provide oversight of daily ED operations.
  • Remain clinically oriented to work in the Emergency Department as a team member in order to provide assistance and coverage when needed.
  • Communicate and collaborate with a variety of staff including nursing leadership, medical staff, support staff, case management, social work, and other departments to appropriately plan, direct, evaluate, and review care for patients and their families.
  • Expertly provide problem solving, decision making, and communication (written and verbal) skills when interacting with these various disciplines
  • The ED Nursing Manager, under the direction of and in collaboration with the Director of Patient Care Services, is responsible for hiring, performance evaluations, and addressing staff/team performance issues.
  • Implement quality control and improvement, assess satisfaction of patients, families, staff, and providers, review and revise policies and procedures, develop professional and clinical development, outline orientation plans, schedule staff, and assist in planning and leading staff meetings.
  • Work to understand and implement State Regulatory principles to ensure standards of excellence are fostered and met

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Compensation: Exempt $1720.00/week - $2660.00/week, depending on experience.
