Job summary

CareRev is recruiting an Emergency Department (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) in Bristol, CT for local per diem shifts. The role requires active CT RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and typically 1 year of ED RN experience within the last year.

RNs must be able to assess, plan, coordinate, and delegate care, using strong critical thinking and adherence to ED protocols for STEMI, sepsis, stroke, and trauma care. Per diem shifts offer flexible days, evenings, or nights based on need and availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year full-time ED RN experience within the last year
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS; PALS/trauma certs may be required before first shift

Requirements

• Current RN license and good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications. PALS and/or trauma certifications may be required prior to first shift.
• Minimum of 1 year full-time experience as an ED RN within the last year.
• Strong ability to assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate and delegate the delivery of skilled patient care, as well as demonstrate critical thinking, and consistency in following established processes.
• Strong ability to use independent, critical judgment in all aspects of patient care delivery.
• Competency in current emergency room evidence-based practices and protocols for STEMI, sepsis, stroke, and trauma care.
• Familiarity with conditions such as severe lacerations or burns, sports injuries, allergic reactions, and work-related injuries.
