Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the Emergency Department team. This full-time mid-shift role runs Monday through Friday with rotating weekends, 11am-11pm, and includes a 6-week training course for the ideal candidate.

The Clin ical Tech will provide direct routine patient care under RN supervision, communicate with health team members and families, and participate in education record oversight.

Qualifications

• Certification - Basic Life Support within 3 Months; Heart Saver for employees hired prior to April 22, 2019
• Licensure - None Required
• Experience - 1 year of acute care experience as a Clinical Tech or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and/or 2 years of nursing school
• Education - High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse
• Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
• Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
• Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
• Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally.
• Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.
• Assumes responsibility for self-development in life long learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
