Job summary

Montrose Regional Health is seeking an Emergency Department EMT to support indirect patient care around physicians and nursing staff in a Level III trauma center. The role focuses on clear communication with patients and families, as well as staff, while following directions from clinicians.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent; EMT certification is preferred, with BCLS, ACLS, and basic arrhythmia courses favorable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; one year experience in acute hospital setting or ambulance preferred.
• BCLS preferred; current EMT Certification preferred; basic arrhythmia course preferred.
• TNCC within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides indirect patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Communicates with patient/family and staff; implements physician and nursing directions.

About The Emergency Department:

• The Emergency Department at Montrose Regional Health is a Level III Trauma Center staffed 24 hours per day by Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and RNs who are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and in Trauma Care.

About The Career:

• Provides indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Implements directions from physicians and nursing staff.

All About You:

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent with one (1) year experience in acute Hospital setting or in ambulance.
• Training & Experience: BCLS preferred. Current EMT Certification (preferable). Basic arrhythmia course (preferable).
• Job Knowledge: Medical terminology TNCC within one year of hire.
