Job summary

Ochsner Health System seeks an Emergency Department Technician / Patient Sitter for PRN day shifts on the West Bank. You will assist nurses, monitor patients and support clinical needs in a fast-paced ED setting. Required: high school diploma, BLS certification, CPI on hire, prior hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS from the American Heart Association is required.
• CPI training is required upon hire.
• Hospital experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Performs clinical duties as outlined by department competency.
• Supports nursing and hospital administration by following established policies.
• Accurately documents patient-related tasks.
• Maintains professional knowledge and required certifications.
• Adapts to the patient population while respecting privacy.
• Performs other related duties as required.
