Baystate Health in Springfield, Massachusetts is seeking an Emergency Department Assistant (EDA) to join the Emergency Department team at Baystate Medical Center. The role provides age-appropriate care across emergency, trauma, pediatric, and behavioral health settings.

The EDA observes patients, reports changes in conditions, assists with personal care and safety, and contributes to a safe, efficient clinical environment. Training and compliance with hospital policies are essential.

• Assist with personal care, vital signs, mobility, transfers, positioning, and patient safety.
• Operate assigned procedures and patient care equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized patient care environment.
• Use de-escalation, restraint, and safety procedures as needed.
• Complete behavioral health observation and safety duties as assigned.
• Complete required training and follow hospital policies.

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
