Job summary

Texoma Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking an Admissions professional to perform Pre-Admission and Admission services for all patients across the hospital. You will correctly identify patients and maintain accurate information within the EMR, and collect financial information including payments from the patient/guarantor.

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency essential for processing patient data and payments.
• Minimum of 6 months general public contact, preferably in healthcare or healthcare insurance.
• Must interact effectively with coworkers and departments, handling high-stress situations with good listening and communication skills.
• Basic computer and internet experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Pre-Admission and Admission services for patients across hospital areas.
• Identify patient and maintain accurate information in the EMR.
• Collect financial information including payment from patient/guarantor and obtain insurance details and authorizations.
• Calculate insurance co-payments and deductibles, and collect amounts due at admission or discharge.
• Obtain medical and financial consents and secure required signatures on documents.
• Inform patients about their rights, privacy and advance care directives.
