Job summary

Saint Mary's Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks a Patient Access Representative to handle pre-registration, registration and admission in the Emergency Department. You will verify insurance, collect deposits, and coordinate with financial counselors to assist patients.

The role is full-time evening shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) with differentials and comprehensive benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; college preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Experience in medical office or patient registration preferred.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-registration, registration and admission functions for ED patients.
• Verify insurance requirements and understand benefits.
• Secure signatures and information for billing and deposits.
• Collect or arrange co-insurance and deposit payments.
• Refer self-pay patients to financial counselors and answer questions.
