Job summary

The University of Iowa Healthcare in North Liberty, IA seeks a Staff Nurse to assess patients' nursing care needs, evaluate effectiveness of care, and integrate nursing theory and research into clinical practice.

Requirements include an RN license in Iowa by hire date and ED/critical care experience. Full-time, Sunday–Tuesday 7:30am shifts with sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and salary starting at $60,000.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and Iowa RN licensure by hire date.
• Minimum six months ED/critical care experience or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Applies nursing theory to assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation.
• Assess patient care preferences and expectations.
• Collaboratively coordinates care across settings.
• Develops and implements patient care plans and reports outcomes.
• Transfers/discharges planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
