Job summary

Logan Health Whitefish in Whitefish, Montana, seeks a Director of Critical Care to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Department and Special Care Unit. You will partner with physicians, nursing leaders and the care team to drive patient-centered care, operational excellence and a culture of safety.

Responsibilities include leading ED and SCU operations, developing clinical teams, advancing trauma/stroke initiatives, and guiding the upcoming electronic health record

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five years of leadership experience required.
• Montana RN license or multistate compact with MT authorization required.
• Working knowledge of healthcare environment, reform and care delivery systems.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation systems.
• RQI Provider (BLS) within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care.
• ALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for Emergency Department and SCU operations.
• Lead, develop and engage experienced clinical teams.
• Partner with physicians, frontline leaders and interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient care.
• Support trauma, cardiac and stroke initiatives.
• Lead your teams through the upcoming implementation of a new electronic health record.
• Support nursing excellence and organizational initiatives.
• Oversee staffing, resources, quality, performance and departmental operations.
