Job summary

Community College of Baltimore County is seeking a part-time Public Safety Dispatcher to operate emergency lines and support campus safety operations. The role requires 18+, HS diploma, and clerical experience with background check clearance. Prior dispatcher, police, or fire experience preferred.

Responsibilities include operating emergency phones, two-way radios, monitoring cameras, and recording information for police services. Parking is free and sick leave is provided for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years clerical and related experience.
• Must pass a comprehensive background investigation.
• Prior experience as a dispatcher, police officer or firefighter preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates emergency telephones, two-way radios, and computer terminal equipment, CCTV, and databases.
• Answers emergency lines and monitors radio communications.
• Receives and records information and requests related to police services.
• Other duties as assigned.
