Emergency Communications Officer (911 Dispatcher)

West Chester Township Emergency Communications Department is accepting applications for the position of Communications Officer (Dispatcher). Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills to provide information and assistance to co-workers and the public. Responsibilities include processing emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching Police, Fire, and EMS using computer-aided dispatch technology. The role requires working rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends, and involves high-stress situations requiring quick decision-making. The pay rate ranges from $25.99 to $32.38 per hour.

Required Qualifications:

The position is open until filled. First review of applications begins on 6/2/2025. Pre-interview testing will occur from 6/3/2025 to 6/9/2025, with interviews starting the week of 6/30/2025. All complete applications will be emailed on 6/3/2025 to complete an online assessment. Candidates who pass the assessment will be considered for an interview.
