West Chester Township Emergency Communications Department is accepting applications for the position of Communications Officer (Dispatcher). Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills to provide information and assistance to co-workers and the public. Responsibilities include processing emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching Police, Fire, and EMS using computer-aided dispatch technology. The role requires working rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends, and involves high-stress situations requiring quick decision-making. The pay rate ranges from $25.99 to $32.38 per hour.
