Ocean Bluff Public Safety invites motivated Police/Fire/EMS Dispatchers to join a combined communications center serving multiple agencies. You will process calls, verify details, and assign units across police, fire, and EMS while following approved procedures.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends, and maintaining certifications as required by the vacancy.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or recognized equivalent is commonly required.
• Some agencies provide cross-training or require prior dispatch experience depending on assignment.
• Credentials may be required (public safety telecommunicator, EMS dispatch, fire dispatch, or police dispatch) per vacancy.

Responsabilités

• Process requests involving police, fire, rescue, and medical assistance.
• Verify locations, incident details, and immediate hazards.
• Apply discipline-specific procedures to prioritize and route calls.
• Dispatch appropriate units according to approved response plans.
• Coordinate incidents requiring more than one emergency service.
• Monitor radio traffic, unit availability, and requests for assistance.
• Provide approved caller instructions when trained and authorized.
• Maintain incident records and support interagency communications.
