Job summary

National Police seeks a Public Safety Dispatcher to support the Central Falls Police Department. You will receive, evaluate, prioritize and relay calls for emergency and non-emergency public safety assistance, and coordinate response of emergency personnel using radio, telephone, and other systems.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (college degree preferred), U.S. citizenship to use RILETS/FBI, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College degree strongly preferred.
• Must be U.S. Citizen to use RILETS/FBI.
• Ability to pass a background (BCI) check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate emergency response efforts by receiving calls and dispatching responders.
• Log all calls for services and respond to involved parties.
• Determine resolutions and priority for each case when appropriate.
• Access crime databases for vehicle, license, or warrant information as needed.
• Conduct VIN checks and complete priority reports.
• Maintain department warning logs.
• Assist with walk-in complaints.
• Provide service type information to the public and referrals.
