Istss is recruiting for an Emergency-CL Attending Psychiatrist at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, New York. This role offers full‑time or part‑time opportunities with a great schedule, focusing on consults in a modern psychiatric ED.

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; no nights or weekends required.
• Supervise/teach students as opportunity allows.

Emergency-CL Attending Psychiatrist

South Shore University Hospital – Bay Shore, New York

Northwell Health’s Behavioral Health Service Line is recruiting a full‑time or part‑time BE/BC Emergency/CL Psychiatrist at South Shore University Hospital located in Bay Shore, New York.

South Shore University Hospital is a rapidly expanding tertiary care hospital in the Eastern Region, recently invested 600 million, with a state‑of‑the‑art emergency department featuring a locked psychiatric wing built to CPEP specifications.

About the Role

• ED coverage in dedicated 6‑bed Psych ED and provision of consults to medical floors.
• Schedule: Monday‑Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., no nights or weekends required.
• Part‑time positions also available (2‑3 days per week).
• All consults: no inpatient or outpatient responsibilities.
• Full‑time Psychiatric NPs and PAs.
• Opportunity to supervise/teach students.
• New Psychiatry residency program (with South Oaks Hospital) to commence 2027.
• A great schedule and fantastic department.
