Northwell Health's Behavioral Health Service Line is recruiting a full‑time or part‑time BE/BC Emergency/CL Psychiatrist at South Shore University Hospital located in Bay Shore, New York.

South Shore University Hospital is part of the Northwell Health system in Bay Shore, New York.

About the Role

• Provide consults to ED and medical floors. No inpatient or outpatient responsibilities.
• Schedule: Monday‑Friday 9a‑5p.
• Opportunity to supervise/teach students.
• New Psychiatry residency program to commence 2027.
• Compensation starts at $305,000 for general psychiatrists, inclusive of 1 moonlighting shift per month.
• Annual performance bonus of up to $15,000.
• Part‑time positions also available (2–3 days per week).

Requirements

• Must be BC/BE and licensed in NYS.
• Superior computer and EHR skills; Emergency Psychiatry or CL experience preferred.
• Must be able to assess ED and CL patients of all ages.
