Job summary

The American Academy of Family Physicians is recruiting a full-time or part-time BE/BC Emergency/CL Psychiatrist for South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, New York. There are no inpatient or outpatient responsibilities, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Compensation starts at $305,000 annually, including an annual performance bonus of up to $15,000. This role offers opportunities to supervise/teach students with a new Psychiatry residency program starting in 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible and licensed in New York State.
• Must be able to assess ED and CL patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide consults to ED and medical floors without inpatient responsibilities.
• Supervise or teach students in a growing Psychiatry residency program.
• Work schedule is Monday-Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

About the Role

• Provide consults to ED and medical floors. No inpatient or outpatient responsibilities.
• Schedule: Monday‑Friday 9a‑5p.
