Job summary

Methodist Hospital in Minnesota is seeking an Emergency Center Technician to join the Emergency Center. The role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a busy, 24/7 trauma center. CPR/BLS is required at hire, with EMT/EDT experience preferred.

The position is 0.9 FTE on nights, every third weekend, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care and strong multitasking/prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of EDT program or EMT program or completed first quarter clinicals of an accredited RN or LPN program.
• Currently validated CPR skills, BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines.
• Preferred EMT/EDT experience or licensure; readiness to obtain EMT license on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Support a fast-paced Emergency Center with critical thinking and teamwork.
• Assist with triage and ensure patient safety and comfort.
