Procare EL PASO EMERGENCY ROOM EAST is seeking a versatile Medical Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic to support fast-paced emergency care. You will perform initial evaluations, vital signs, assist with procedures, and coordinate with RN, nursing and radiology staff to ensure timely patient care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, BLS/ACLS, 1–2 years in urgent care or ED, and EMT/Paramedic licensure. Strong customer service, teamwork, and accuracy in documentation are essential to succeed in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS and ACLS Certification.
• Minimum 1-year urgent care or ED experience; EMT/Paramedic: 2 years ambulance or 1 year ED.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Current state licensure for EMT or Paramedic.
• Able to work in a fast-paced emergency department.

Responsabilités

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Perform lab point-of-care testing and waived testing; run lab controls.
• Comply with organization policies and procedures.
• Work closely with medical, nursing, and radiology staff; participate in staff meetings.
• Follow daily lab and equipment checks for QA.
• Ensure follow-up calls as assigned by RN.
• Maintain facility in clean, safe condition per OSHA and regs.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and ensure readiness.
• Assist with patient check-in as needed.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and accurate charting.
• Assist with supply costs and ordering as directed.
• Perform duties as trained by RN; proficient in EMR documentation.
• Comply with HIPAA, CMS, and other regulations.
• Ensure a safe, clean work environment; work in a team.
• Assist with patient transfers and professional communication.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
