Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at time of hire.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of practical work experience is required.
• One year of experience using Windows-based computer programs.
• Must pass an entrance examination, keyboarding proficiency test and background investigation.
• Ability to work eight, ten or twelve hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and determine the service needed.
• Enter and transmit accurate information into the CAD system for dispatch.
• Provide pre-arrival and post-dispatch instructions to callers.
• Maintain calm, professional communication and document interactions.
