Job summary

Harvey is seeking a privacy lawyer to join its in‑house legal team as we expand across EMEA. You will work closely with the Head of Privacy to ensure global privacy and security standards, advise product and engineering, and help shape AI governance and regulatory compliance across the business.

You will draft and negotiate data processing agreements, monitor evolving privacy laws including AI regulations, and partner with compliance and Go-To-Market teams to uphold Harvey’s privacy commitments.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 4+ years of post-qualification experience in privacy and data protection.
• Expertise in EU and U.S. data protection law with global compliance familiarity.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills representing Harvey on privacy, AI, and security.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across legal and business teams.
• Highly responsive, detail-oriented, and capable of hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements with customers, subprocessors, and vendors.
• Develop and scale global privacy programs and perform DPIAs and processing records.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to assess privacy impact of features.
• Monitor changes in privacy laws and AI regulation; adapt compliance programs.
• Support AI governance, risk assessment, and internal policy documentation.
• Partner with stakeholders on AI principles like transparency and human oversight.
