Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH seeks a seasoned international tax professional to lead advisory engagements across EMEA for US-headquartered groups. You will design tax-efficient cross-border structures, oversee multi-jurisdictional teams, and advise on post-merger integrations.

The role emphasizes handling complex transactions, coordination with local advisors and legal teams, and delivering practical, commercially focused tax solutions.

Qualifications

• Law degree with a tax specialization required; LL.M. in International Tax Law, European Tax Law, or related discipline preferred.
• At least 7 years of international tax experience at a leading law firm, Big Four, or tax advisory practice in Europe.
• Experience advising multinational corporations on cross-border M&A, carve-outs, divestitures, and restructurings.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex international tax planning and transaction advisory engagements for US-headquartered groups in EMEA.
• Advise on tax implications of global separations, divestitures, acquisitions, reorganizations, and post-merger integration in EMEA.
• Design and oversee tax-efficient structures for cross-border transactions with local-country requirements.
• Provide guidance on holding company structures, financing, repatriation, and corporate transformation across EMEA.
• Oversee OECD Pillar Two (GloBE) considerations and other international tax developments.
