Job summary

Element Materials Technology's Brooklyn Park lab seeks an Operations Manager I to lead daily EMC testing operations and align the team with safety and quality standards.

The role reports to the General Manager and drives growth by collaborating with commercial teams, forecasting workload, and optimizing resources to deliver accurate test results on time while maintaining cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field.
• Minimum 7 years in a management role, preferably in a fast-growing operation.
• Experience leading EMC laboratory teams (engineers, technicians, coordinators).
• Strong knowledge of EMC testing standards (FCC, ISED, CE, CISPR, IEC).
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and lab quality systems.
• Proven ability to train staff and manage performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to multi-task under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily EMC testing facility operations.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop and manage forecasts for revenue, workload, and staffing.
• Ensure safety and QA programs are followed.
• Lead and develop lab staff; manage time cards and overtime.
• Set priorities and allocate resources for smooth lab operation.
• Partner with lab managers to maintain positive employee relations.
