Job summary

Unrivaled Teamwear is seeking an embroidery operator to operate multi and single head sewing machines, applying embroidery on garments and related items per work orders. You will set up threads, colors, and needle configurations, hoop garments, and monitor stitch quality to prevent defects.

The role requires a High school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to read safety and operation instructions.

Qualifications

  • Reads work order to determine embroidery type and location.
  • Enters appropriate art into embroidery computer system.
  • Selects thread size and color and threads through machine guides.
  • Removes and replaces bobbin as needed.
  • Adjusts machine tension to control stitch quality.
  • Hoops garments and installs in hoop guides.
  • Observes stitching to detect defects and notifies supervisor of issues.
  • Repairs defective embroidery or fills in blanks left by embroidery machine.

Responsibilities

  • Operate embroidery machines to decorate garments and items.
  • Follow work orders and quality checks to ensure proper placement and finish.
  • Maintain clean, organized workstation and report equipment issues promptly.

Summary

Operates multi and single head sewing machines to embroider name, initial, or decorative designs on garments, household articles, material, or uniforms and to stitch patches or emblems on material or garments by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reads work order to determine type and location of embroidery.
  • Enters appropriate art into the embroidery computer system.
  • Selects size and color thread and draws it through machine guides and bobbin.
  • Removes and replaces bobbin when needed.
  • Adjusts & regulates setscrews to control machine tension.
  • Hoops garments utilizing automatic Hooper and installs in the hoop guides.
  • Observes sewing operation to detect defects in stitching that indicate machine malfunction and notifies supervisor of malfunction.
  • Repairs defective embroidery or fills in blanks left by embroidery machine.
  • Uses scissors to trim away backing from decoration
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Preferred but not required; Experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic computer skills.
