Advanced Micro Devices in Austin, TX seeks an Embedded Sales engineer to support AMD x86 embedded solutions across the region. You will lead technical discussions, provide design-win support, and collaborate with sales, engineering, and customers to drive new opportunities and defend existing wins.

The role requires broad technical knowledge of embedded hardware/software, excellent communication, and travel within the region.

Qualifications

Broad technical understanding of AMD’s x86 product portfolio with emphasis on embedded devices
Ability to discuss end user hardware/software environments including Windows/Linux, compilers, benchmarks
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with hardware/software expertise
Ability to work independently or in a team
Good time management and prioritization
Strong relationship-building with internal/external stakeholders
Outstanding problem-solving across multi-disciplinary teams
Ability to travel within the region

Responsibilities

Support the sales process with account leaders, engineering, and business units to enable new AMD x86 solutions
Lead technical discussions and resolve issues from design to mass production for AMD embedded platforms
Conduct on-site customer meetings, provide HW platform development and debugging assistance
Perform performance and benchmarking analysis to support opportunities
Provide technical guidance for platform performance improvements (HW/SW)
Deliver technical training to customers or AMD sales team
Evaluate competitive platforms/technologies and share insights
Present AMD roadmaps or technology to internal/external audiences
Support conferences/Regional events with demos and customer meetings
Travel up to 25% as needed
