Value Innovation Labs is seeking an accomplished senior embedded software architect to design and implement Wi‑Fi and networking solutions for wireless products. You will craft C/C++ applications, optimize Linux-based systems, and collaborate across hardware, firmware, QA, and system engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Experience with embedded Linux platforms and drivers.
  • TCP/IP networking, routing, DHCP, DNS, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Git, build systems, cross-compilation, and CI/CD.

Job description

Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and architect embedded Wi-Fi and networking solutions for wireless products and platforms.

  • Develop and optimize C/C++ applications and system-level software for embedded Linux environments.

  • Work extensively with Wi-Fi protocols, networking stacks, TCP/IP, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, routing, and related technologies.

  • Develop, debug, and enhance Linux-based embedded systems, drivers, middleware, and networking components.

  • Analyze system architecture and contribute to technical design, architecture, and implementation decisions.

  • Troubleshoot complex Wi-Fi, connectivity, performance, and system-level issues.

  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, QA, and system engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Perform code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, unit testing, and integration testing.

  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on embedded networking development.

  • Participate in requirements analysis, architecture design, development, integration, and production support.


Required Qualifications


  • 10+ years of hands-on software development experience, primarily in the Wi-Fi/wireless networking domain.

  • Strong expertise in C programming and embedded software development.

  • Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, including processes, memory, IPC, sockets, system calls, and debugging.

  • Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies and networking protocols.

  • Hands‑on experience developing software for embedded systems and Linux‑based platforms.

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, Ethernet, routing, DHCP, DNS, sockets, and network troubleshooting.

  • Experience with embedded system architecture and software design.

  • Proficiency with debugging tools such as GDB, Valgrind, Wireshark, and Linux command-line utilities.

  • Experience working with Git, build systems, cross-compilation, and CI/CD in embedded environments.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.


Preferred Skills


  • Experience with Wi-Fi drivers, firmware, WLAN stacks, or networking middleware.

  • Knowledge of 802.11 standards, WPA/WPA2/WPA3, security, roaming, and wireless performance optimization.

  • Experience with OpenWrt, Yocto, Buildroot, or similar embedded Linux platforms.

  • Exposure to RTOS, ARM-based platforms, device drivers, and board-level development.

  • Experience designing scalable and high-performance networking architectures.
