Job summary

Stryker is seeking two Contract Test Engineers to support validation of an embedded medical device. You'll develop and execute test scripts to verify firmware/hardware integration at the MCU/circuit board level, onsite in Portage, MI, 4–5 days per week. We welcome candidates from testing or embedded development.

Strong Python scripting and CAN protocol skills are required, with hardware familiarity. VeriStand experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Embedded Systems Engineering or Embedded Software Development.
• Strong Python scripting experience.
• Experience with CAN (Controller Area Network) protocol.
• Strong electronics and hardware background.
• Embedded circuitry and MCU-based systems.
• Hardware-level troubleshooting and validation.
• Ability to work onsite in Portage, MI 4–5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and execute test scripts to validate embedded hardware and firmware functionality.
• Perform system-level testing on MCU and circuit board-based products.
• Troubleshoot and debug hardware/software integration issues.
• Work closely with engineering teams to identify and resolve defects.
• Analyze existing test frameworks and improve test coverage where necessary.
• Read, maintain, or rewrite legacy test scripts in Python.
• Support fixture setup and execution of test activities in a lab environment.
